FAQ

Q: Where do I go to get an official UofT Transcript?

A: Transcripts can be ordered from the UofT transcript centre, located at Enrolment Services. 172 St. George St. Toronto ON M5R 0A3. For inquiries call: 416-978-2190

Q: Where is the Lost and Found for Sidney Smith?

A: There are a few places to check for lost items – 1) the ASSU office – SS 1068 2) the APUS office – SS 1089 3) the Faculty Registrar’s Office – SS 1006 and 4) the Caretaking Office – SS 1090. Finally, you can also check with the Central Caretaking Lost & Found at 256 McCaul Street, 3rd Floor.

Q: Where can I find final exams?

A: All finals that are released by the Faculty are available on the Library website (will need to cut and paste into your browser): http://eres.library.utoronto.ca/courseindex.asp, which you can download for free. Answers are not available anywhere.

Q: Where can I find term tests?

A: ASSU has a library of student donated tests. Students can come in and photocopy them. Some of our Course Unions also carry tests – you can ask at our office. ASSU is always looking for students to donate their old tests to our library – we will make a photocopy of the test.

Q: Where is there a microwave for students to use?

A: The APUS office has one and so does the cafeteria downstairs.

Q: How do I book the Sidney Smith Lobby?

A: The lobby is available for booking to recognized student groups only. This booking is done through the Faculty Registrar’s Office – for more info check out this link: https://sidneysmithcommons.artsci.utoronto.ca/welcome/sidney-smith-lobby/

Past Test Library

Office Services

ASSU offers a wide variety of office services for all your office supply needs:

Printing Service

We currently offer free printing through our photocopiers. Documents need to be on a usb drive and in .pdf format. There is a limit of 8 double sided or 16 single sided pages a day. After that limit the regular charge of 5 cents a side will apply.

If you prefer us to print your documents,  we have black and white printing services available in our office. The price is 5 cents a side (10 cents double-sided) and you can email us the documents you want printed and we can have them ready for you. We accept cash or e-transfers for payment. Cold Pop

We sell non-brand name pop – Cola, Diet Cola and Ginger Ale for only 50 cents!

Faxing Services

We offer a no-charge faxing services on campus. To fax, please bring your documents (single sided), or email us and we can print them before faxing as well as the fax number you need to send documents to. We can also receive faxes.

 

Final Exams

We do not have hard copies of Faculty final exams. These are available online at exams-library-utoronto-ca.myaccess.library.utoronto.ca/

Locker Rentals

We rent out lockers in the basement of Sidney Smith Hall. Upper 1/2 size is $55 and Lower 1/2 size is $50. 1/3 size is $40 to $40. A $20 refundable key deposit is included in the price. Cash Only.

Term Test Library

We have copies of term tests that students have donated over the years. Come by to see what we have. We are also always accepting new donations!

Laptop Loan Program

Forgot your laptop or device at home? Run out of battery and forgot your charger? Students can now borrow laptops from the ASSU Office (Sidney Smith Hall, 1068) for up to 2 business days (Monday to Friday). Laptops will be loaned on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Laptops will be loaned on a first-come, first-serve basis. To borrow a laptop, students must come with a valid TCard or government-issued ID and a $50 deposit (cash or e-transfer), which will be returned when the laptop is brought back in good condition to the ASSU Office at 4:00 pm the end of the loan period.
