We get many students who come in asking how to get involved with ASSU.  There are many opportunities for students in the Faculty.  The best way we normally suggest is to find the course union related to your field of study.  If you are unfamiliar with the course unions, you can find the ones recognized under ASSU here.

Another great way to get involved is through our tutoring program called Project: Universal Minds

ASSU also hosts the Arts and Science Undergrad Research Conference. This yearly conference brings together hundreds of students for a one-day event showcasing the best in research across the different disciplines of our Faculty. For more information about the URC email: students.assu@utoronto.ca

Another fantastic place to find out extra curriculars on campus is the Student Organization Portal.  It is regularly updated by Student Life and has a constant stream of events on there.  Finally, if in doubt come by the ASSU office and speak to the Executives or staff on site.  They’d be happy to guide you in the right direction.  U of T is a daunting school, with an enormous student population, ASSU is here to make it a little easier on you.
