The ASSU Executive represents the academic concerns for over 25,000 full-time Arts & Science students on the St. George campus. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to – holding weekly office hours, attending Executive meetings, reporting at ASSU Council Meetings, sitting on various ASSU committees, representing ASSU at Faculty meetings, working with and helping Course Unions, working on ASSU projects and any other academic concerns affecting A&S students that might come up during the year.
If you have the time commitment and the passion, why not consider running for the ASSU Executive! Any Full-time, Arts & Science Student registered on the St. George campus, or ASSU-fee paying student can run for a position.

Statement on ASSU’s proposed levy referendum
On January 15th, 2019, ASSU Council approved a motion asking for a levy referendum to be held to increase the ASSU levy that all full-time Arts and Science Students pay. The referendum also asks for the ASSU fee to be tied to the cost-of-living as determined by the CPI and UofT’s Governing Council.
The Executive of the Arts and Science Students Union have released a statement about this levy referendum which you can read here
Voting takes place on-line, and in person at the Sid Smith Lobby on February 13th and 14th.
Reading Week Office Closure
The ASSU Office will be closed for the Fall Reading week. We will re-open on November 12th at 10am. Have a great Reading Week everyone! We’ll see you back on campus on the 12th!
Undergraduate Research Conference 2019
Our tentative day program is here!
The Undergraduate Research Conference is a full-day event organized by the Arts and Science Students’ Union, which aims to recognize and showcase the scholarly research of UofT students. Come join us as we celebrate the research projects of diverse and multidisciplinary academic fields, within the natural sciences, quantitative sciences, humanities, and social sciences.
Admission is FREE to all U of T students – check out the program and abstracts to see which presentations you want to check out! This is a great way to see the kinds of research your peers are doing, and how they present their research to you.
We hope this conference will empower UofT students by recognizing the great work that is being produced on our campus, and encourage peer-to-peer information sharing.

Thanksgiving Office Closure
