ASSU Council will elect one (1) President and four (4) Executives at the March Council meeting. These successful candidates will serve from May 1st 2022 to April 30th 2023.

Here are the official statements for the candidates running for ASSU President and ASSU Executives in our upcoming elections. There is one (1) position for President being contested and four (4) Executive positions.

If you are looking to get more involved with academic issues on campus, the ASSU Executive is a great opportunity. Our Executive are responsible for hosting events, working with the ASSU Course Unions on campaigns, and meeting with Faculty admin to address student issues on the St. George Campus.
Nominations are now open to fill one Executive positions on the Arts and Science Students’ Union!
The ASSU Executive represents the academic concerns for over 26,000 full-time Arts & Science students on the St. George campus. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to – holding weekly office hours, attending Executive meetings every few weeks, reporting at ASSU Council Meetings, sitting on various ASSU committees, representing ASSU at Faculty meetings, working with and helping Course Unions, working on ASSU projects and any other academic concerns affecting A&S students that might come up during the year.
