Layla El-Dakhakhni, Executive
Hello! My name is Layla El-Dakhakhni. I am honoured to represent you as part of the 2025-26 ASSU executive. I am in my fourth year as an Environmental Chemistry major, History & Philosophy of Science minor, and Women & Gender studies minor. My deep love for science and the arts are inextricable from each other, and this passion is what moves me to demand the best for students in the FAS. Outside of class, I love writing, biking, mangoes, disability justice, and Palestine. I also run The Liberation Lab, a student organization dreaming and building in the space between hard science and movements for liberation. You can find out more about us at instagram.com/liberationlabuoft. Please feel welcome to contact me via email at layla[at]assu[dot]ca with your questions/concerns/musings/prophetic visions. See you around!
Grace Johnson, Executive
Sandini Kodikara, Executive
Hey students of Arts & Science: my name is Sandini! I’m a 5th year student majoring in Applied Genetics and Biotechnology, with minors in English and Immunology. I’m a notorious sidequester, meaning I’ve participated in a lot of different courses and extracurriculars across campus. I’m most excited to use my role as Executive at ASSU to provide younger students with the advice, supports, and perspectives I wish I’d found in my early years. In my spare time, I write, play D&D, draw comics, and cook!
Come find me during my ASSU office hours in SS 1068, or reach me by email at sandini[at]assu[dot]ca. 🙂
