Speaker Series x Mehdi Hasan

The ASSU is proud to announce our upcoming Speaker Series event with “all-round troublemaker” Mehdi Hasan.

Mehdi Hasan is a broadcaster, journalist, political commentator, and founder of the digital media company Zeteo known for his unflinching interviews and fact-checking. He has built a career on challenging power, interrogating narratives, and refusing false balance from Gaza and Sudan to Islamophobia, fascism, and the failures of mainstream media. We are honoured to host Hasan in conversation with a panel of scholars on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at the Isabel Bader Theatre (93 Charles St. West).

Priority registration for this event is for Full-time Arts and Science St. George Students (must register with an email ending in @mail.utoronto.ca). If space allows, general UofT admission tickets will become available closer to the event
