It’s a new year, which means it’s time for the first ASSU Council meeting of 2014-2015! This is a very important meeting which sets the direction of ASSU’s work for the rest of the year and is a great way to reconnect with Course Union executives from across the Faculty. There will also be FOOD!!! As such, we’ll be doing formal registration for this meeting so that we have real numbers. Please register your course union at the link below:
This year, we’re trying a bit of a new approach to council meetings. We’d love to see as many people come out as possible and encourage CU’s to bring their full executives on top of the two required (for funding purposes) voting members so that we can get to know each all better. It’ll also be an invaluable way to show your newer executives how ASSU functions.
There will be elections for 2 executive positions on ASSU (nomination forms available in our office), and a number of committees. Also, we plan to discuss a number of important issues facing students in the Faculty right now including, but not limited to, the recommendations of the recent Student Societies Summit and course evaluations in the Faculty. An agenda will be posted sooner to the date and if you have anything you’d like to add please email us to let us know!
