Thinking of becoming more involved? If the answer is ‘yes’ then this is your chance! Elections for the 2013-2014 ASSS executive team will follow right after, so if you would like to be a part of ASSS next year be sure to come!

Executive positions are as follows:

President:
• Liaison between ASSS and professors, the Arts and Science Student Union (ASSU), and any organizations outside of U of T.
• Must attend all ASSU meetings and relay the information to the general membership.

Vice-President:
• Liaison between ASSS and students in the American Studies program. Find ways to encourage greater student participation in ASSS.
• Collaborate with other course unions and student groups.

Treasurer:
• Submit funding requests to ASSU.
• Brainstorm fundraising ideas.

Event Co-ordinator:
• Main organizer for ASSS events.
• Brainstorm ideas for different ASSS events.

Media Consultant:
• In charge of advertising ASSS events through various media outlets.
• Encouraging discussions related to American Studies on official ASSS social media profiles.
