diversity and representation at City Hall – a panel discussion

March 2nd, 2015 @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm

cityhalldiversityslide

On March 2nd, ASSU presents a panel on the representation of miniorities on Toronto City Council. Our city is incredibly diverse, with nearly half the population being born outside of the country. Yet, the make up of the representatives in Toronto City Council does not reflect this diversity. Why does this gap in representation exist?

On March 2nd, join us for a panel, as we discuss this issue facing our city. Moderated by Professor Alissa Trotz, the panel will feature Councillor Kristyn-Wong Tam, Former Councillor Ceta Ramkhalawansingh and Former Ward 2 Candidate Idil Burale.
