ASSU Scholarship Workshop

February 25th, 2009
4:00pmto6:00pm

Students are digging deeper and deeper into their pockets to pay for tuition. Many work a number of jobs to help them foot the bill. Sometimes students find it difficult to find scholarships, and even if they do, they are not always sure how to apply for them.

What do scholarship committees look for in an application? How do you write an effective personal statement? Where do you find scholarships?

The ASSU Scholarship Workshop will help answer these questions, and other questions you might have when applying for scholarships on and off campus.

February 25, 4-6, SS2135

Speakers:

Prof. Susan Howson – Vice-Dean Undergraduate, Faculty of Arts and Science
Prof. Theresa Moritz – Writing professor and instructor, Woodsworth College
Ms. Sadia Rafiquddin – 4th-year undergrad, Trinity College
